Omni Ken — Reviews
Stalker 2
Great game — better than the OG and any of the shitty sequels. Very good open world since there's always something going on when you're walking across the world. Only issue: traversal is mostly walking — the map is HUGE and getting across is slow and kinda sleep-inducing. The gunplay is nice, weapon variety could be better but it's wide enough to enjoy, and the story is fun. I recommend 9/10.
My Review of KOTOR
Despite the gameplay being super old (almost 21 years now), the storytelling, immersion and worldbuilding are amazing. I was locked in once I started playing. I'm not a huge DnD/turn-based fan, but I could look past KOTOR’s combat for everything else it offers. Planning a KOTOR 2 playthrough — overall 9/10.
Together
Pretty solid movie — nice premise but the characters are super unlikeable, especially the main female character. She forces her husband out of his dreams of being a musician and then complains. He’s a touring artist with money and a fanbase; they weren’t made for each other which makes the ending both funny and sad — two people stuck together forever.
Inglourious Basterds
Quentin Tarantino is a great director/writer. The movie is suspenseful and fun, very graphic and cathartic — Nazis get what’s coming to them. 8/10.
Sinners
I loved it. Great acting (Michael B. Jordan, Andrene Ward-Hammond, Miles Caulfield?, Delroy Lindo), strong story and music. Nothing but praise. 10/10.
Spin the Bottle
3.5/10 on IMDb — the movie leans into voyeurism with too many make-out scenes. Premise has potential (an evil spirit released through a game), but acting and characters are weak. The 3.5/10 feels generous.
The Devil's Pass
Based on a true-ish incident in Russia — found footage that works for ~80% of the movie. The last 20% ruins it with a forced time-travel/Philadelphia Experiment twist. Would be an 8/10 without that ending; ends up more like 4/10.
13 Ghosts (2001)
Not scary but fun — more a thriller. Cool ghosts and characters, Matthew Lillard does a solid job. 8/10.
Outside
A strong zombie-apocalypse drama: great characters, acting, set design, and storytelling. 9/10.
Alien: Romulus
One of the better recent Alien films. Felt like a return to form — cool, sometimes funny, and legitimately one of my favorite newer Alien entries. 9/10.
Immaculate
Enjoyable with great cinematography and performances; story felt rushed toward the end and could've used more runtime to develop characters. Still an 8.5/10 for me.
Late Night With The Devil
I enjoyed it — a fresh take on found footage and a fun story. 9/10.
The Omen
This one’s dumb in many ways — characters make poor choices, but it still has a few effective scares. 4/10.
Ju-on
An oldie that holds up well. Some silly characters but the atmosphere works. 7/10.
Everwinter Night
Terrible as a horror film but a half-decent comedy/drama. Very cringe at times; Victoria Mirrer carries many scenes. Overall: 1/10 (horror) but ~4/10 as comedy/drama.
Toolbox Murders (2004)
Interesting premise, reminds me of The Plumber (1979). Has a decent twist — overall an average horror flick. 6/10.
Imaginary
Okay thriller with a few laughs — not very scary. 5/10.
Late Checkout
Very forgettable. A couple decent moments but overall mid. 4/10.
Icytwat
Amazing rapper — production is the standout (he does a lot himself and shares free kits). Encourages fans to send beats. Chill overall. Favorites: Love Who?, Give Her Soul, Psychotic Women Luv Me.
$ilkmoney
Used to be in Divine Council with others (check the YouTube version of "Neverland"). Interesting off-beat flow, good beat selection. Favorites: Lorraine Motel, My Forte, Ain’t Shit Nigga, 9 Frangipani.
Fly Anakin
Amazing rapper — interesting beats and solid verses. Favorites: Intrepid, Granny Snubnose, Universe in Gatorade, Suppression, Twin'Nem.
Glokk40spaz
Pretty good rapper and singer, nice beat selection, not very lyrical. Favorites: Muzzle, Free Sumo, Minion, Sick ASF.
Zillakami
Edit: recently outed for sexual misconduct involving minors — avoid. Was 1/2 of City Morgue; used to be one of my favorites for range and style. Favorites: Hello, Bleach (feat. Denzel Curry), Dedgrl, Space Cowboy.
SosMula
Other half of City Morgue — my least favorite due to the voice and delivery. Hype artist — works well in group but solo projects less appealing. Favorites: Yakuza, Super Soaka, KenPark, Soul Burn.
Iazye / Jayce!
Underground rapper (Slayworld/RR). Great rapper, weaker singer. Favorites: Lugis Mansion, 556, No GTA, From Da South, Not a Blood (first half).
KanKan
Underground legend; likely a producer for Slayworld/RR. Production is his strength. Favorites: GET TROLLED, Fent, GTA, WokeUp. Note: has past accusations of violence — consider that when supporting.
Freddie Dredd
Unique, unorthodox style — great beats and high-energy. Favorites: Cha Cha, Greed, WTH, Tool, Kick Rocks.
Your Stepdad (YS)
Broke out on TikTok with “Fed Up.” Decent lyricism and beats — an enjoyable artist. Favorites: Close Ya Lips, Let Her Go, Under a Fox, DGAF, Avoidism.
Lelo
Underground rapper who broke with "No Contempt" — unique production and sound. Favorites: GOAway, Encore, Manga, Dresser.
Kid Trunks
Part of VRMO; personally not a fan — music feels forgettable and problematic allegations exist. Notable tracks for context: IDK, Came2Kill, LOL, 777, Invisible Klip.
BKTHERULA
First female artist reviewed — solid flow, lyrics, voice. Favorites: TATTI, Santanny, IDK WHAT TO TELL YOU, okok/depressing, A Girl IS a GUN.
OmenXiii
The trap metal artist that got me into the subgenre. Great voice, relatable lyrics, strong production. Favorites: Gully Up, Shut the F**K Up, LED, Drop Dead, Roses, Ashes.
K3
Up-and-coming female artist — aggressive flow and hunger. Could cross to trap metal. Favorites: Goku, Ms. Crashout, Pretty Like Me.
Niontay
Collaborator with Earl Sweatshirt and El Cousteau — slow mumble flow that works. Favorites: Da City of a Hunnid Plays, MR.HAVEMYWAY, 32ummers.
